One of the main aims of Rap Club is to change the negative mindset that so many young people are currently displaying. It is no secret that knife crime and gang culture is on the rise and more prevalent than ever before, especially in the inner city setting of London. Much of the blame has been directed towards rap music and the U.K urban scene. Although there seems to be a correlation between the popularity in U.K rap music and the rise in dangerous crime, at Rap Club we understand that the problem is not with the music itself but how the music and the lifestyle is being interpreted by the young people listening.  

To summarise, the main outcomes are:

• Learning relevant curriculum material through rap

• Being educated on rap music as an art form

• Increase chances of staying in school

• Recording a song in a professional recording studio

• Performing in front of an audience

• Being part of a local production and working with different people

• Building confidence/self esteem
